The Asan Medical Library is devoted to be a creative and integrated information hub by providing reliable biomedical resources and innovative services for the highest-quality patient care, education and research.
The Asan Medical Library was founded in 1989 along with the Asan Medical Center. Since the establishment of the Asan Life Sciences Research Center in 1990, the library has expanded its role for supporting research activities in life sciences as well as in clinical medicine. In 1991, the Asan Medical Library became affiliated with the University of Ulsan College of Medicine.

The Asan Medical Library collects materials in clinical medicine, the biological sciences, dentistry and nursing. It holds more than 38,000 volumes, subscribes to nearly 16,000 eBook titles. And all the collection can be searched through the library catalog on the library web-site. The library provides access to many resources in electronic format. Electronic journals number more than 8,000 titles and are accessible through the internet. There are many more resources available on a variety of topics, including e-textbooks and web databases. Rare Books and Special Collections contain valuable materials including ’The Classics of Medicine Library Collection’ and early publications from Korean Medical Association in 1940s.
